Executive Education at RISD

RISD EE is a global studio for inclusive design, interdisciplinary learning and real world innovation. We don’t teach you how to innovate. We help you develop a culture in which innovation can happen again. And again. And again.

Our approach at RISD EE is based on RISD’s long history of creativity, critical thinking and making, and innovation. Using a deep knowledge of the intersection of design, business and culture, RISD EE is defined by exploring challenges through the design tissue that anticipates, frames, connects and accelerates innovation. In partnership with our clients, we develop deep, inclusive design experiences that focus on accelerating the limitless values of developing critical thinkers, confident makers, collaborative teams and innovative organizations. With experience developing customized learning experiences across the corporate, non-profit and governmental sectors, RISD EE aims to challenge thinking, meet needs, and expand capacities to add value, impact and capability to your organization, your sector and the world

RISD Partnered Research Collaboration

Each year, RISD collaborates with corporations, governments, and institutions to conduct advanced qualitative research. These projects apply the expertise of RISD's 24 Fine Arts and Design departments to the complex challenges facing our partners. Recent collaborators include Nike, LEGO Education, World Economic Forum, General Electric, Chronicle Books, Samsung, CESSNA Aviation, USAID, Urban Outfitters, Traditional Home Magazine, Kikkerland, and Swarovski Crystal. These relationships take many forms, including intensive design innovation sessions, symposia, off-site workshops, full and half-semester studios, graduate seminars, summer courses, executive training, artists/designers in residence, conferences, symposia, and short-format design intensives with each project framed to meet the complementary learning objectives of our partners, faculty, and students.
