Students will begin arriving at 6:00 pm and will look forward to meeting with you!

6:00 - 8:00 pm / Networking Reception

The Networking Reception offers companies and students an opportunity to introduce themselves to each other, talk informally about their latest work and projects and share information about their professional interests and focus. Students attending are encouraged to ask about ways to follow-up for future internships and jobs and to bring copies of their resume, business card and/or portfolio samples to leave with those they meet with. Food and beverages will be served!

10:00 - 11:45 am / Employer Check-In and Lunch

Employers may arrive anytime between 10:00 am and 11:45 am. Please plan to arrive early enough to get settled before your first scheduled portfolio review. Coffee, tea, lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

12:00 noon - 5:00 pm / Portfolio Reviews

Portfolio reviews begin promptly at noon and last 15 minutes each. There are two 15-minute breaks at 1:30 pm and 3:15 pm. Please contact the Career Center to let us know if you will be arriving after 12:00 noon or have to leave before 5:00 pm so we can adjust your portfolio review schedule accordingly.

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm / Cocktail + Hors d'oeuvres Reception

We hope you’ll be able to stay for a bite to eat and drink as our thanks for your time and commitment to meeting with students. You’ll have the chance to meet and network with other reviewers, academic department heads, faculty and RISD senior administrative leadership.

9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Companies that would like to conduct formal interviews with selected students for current openings are encouraged to attend the Interview Day.

Companies will post their position/s to ArtWorks in advance, receive applications, select students they want to meet with and create their own interview schedules to meet with selected students.

If you are attending the Design Portfolio Review and want to schedule follow-up interviews with specific students, would like to meet with students from your Resume Drop and/or would like to conduct additional portfolio reviews, you are welcome to attend this event to maximize your time at RISD and secure talent for internship, full-time or freelance opportunities.
